Top 5 fashion aesthetics of the year 2021 that will make you stand out from the crowd

First off, what is an aesthetic?

Aesthetic fashion is clothing that is unique, with bold clothes that typically would have been trendy years ago. You might have seen people dressing a particular way that isn’t considered basic all over TikTok. An aesthetic will make you stand out from the crowd. You will normally find teenagers and young adults wearing aesthetic outfits but it is not limited to them. Anyone can wear it. However, before you try, you probably need inspiration. Don’t worry there is an aesthetic out there for everyone.

   As the title suggests, this aesthetic is a viral internet sensation. This look typically borrows its flair from anime. Like the anime girls this aesthetic has dyed hair, makeup exaggerating the eyes and cheeks, chokers, mesh clothing, skirts etc. Doja Cat swears by this look.

VSCO girl


   You probably have seen those hydro flasks all around you. That is one of the integral points to the VSCO girl look. The name comes from the photo-editing app (pronounced "visco") and important outfit ingredients are typically white sneakers or Birkenstocks, high-waisted jeans or shorts, Hydro flask water bottles, oversized T-shirts, and scrunchies. Messy buns and seashell necklaces are also part of the equation here for that effortless, low-key, and yes, somewhat basic look. Mom jeans is KEYYY. If I have to describe this aesthetic in one word it would be PINK. And no not the artist, the colour. Pink clothes, pink accessories and even pink hair if they’re willing to go that far. One of the most famous “soft girl” celebs is our girl, Ariana Grande!!!

Baddie

This is that look that is made for the IG grid. A tight-fitting dress, full makeup, and designer pieces are giveaways for this aesthetic. Beauty bloggers and the Kardashian/Jenner clan are pros at channelling the vibe, Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B slay the look like they slay their competition. This look makes you look and feel confident as heck.

Cottage core

In this look we travel back to the Victorian times with just a splash of modern fashion. I mean, who doesn’t want to live in a cottage with a flower garden. That might not be possible now but you can create the look for it. For example, Both Folklore and Evermore are cottage vibes and we all loved that dress she wore in willow, didn’t we?

Vikram – The Indian MCU We Were Waiting For? Ahhh! Yes. Vikram! Now, this is a blog I’ve been looking forward to writing since I watched this masterpiece of a film. Honestly, I was blown away. I must admit, I walked into the theatre expecting a mediocre action film where guns did most of the storytelling. But what I got was so much more than that.
