So, first things first, what is “Loki”? If you were living under a rock then it’s a marvel TV show that revolves around the titular character Loki
Laufeyson who kinda broke the timeline by taking the Tesseract and disappearing
which wasn’t supposed to happen. So, he faces the consequence of his actions
when he is taken by an organization called the “TVA” (Time Variance Authority).
What did we find out this season?
First off that there is TVA that controls the flow of the timeline which
works under the authority of the mysterious time keepers who turn out to be
“mindless androids”.
There are multiple variants of Loki and there is a badass
female one, Sylvie who wants to take down the TVA because they ruined her life.
Loki meets her and they form an “unique friendship”. Turns out, all the workers
at the TVA are variants who created a branch in timeline and were wiped clean
of their memories. There is something fishy going on with the judge and Mobius,
a friend of Loki and a worker of the TVA that knows the truth finds out. Loki
and Sylvie meet “He Who Remains” the mastermind behind all this. Turns out, he
is a one of the many variants of himself and prevented a multiversal war. He
wants Loki and Sylvie to take over his job but Sylvie gets into a fight with
Loki about the issue and pushes him back to the TVA and kills “He who remains”.
Whew! That was a ride. I mean what did you expect it’s a marvel TV show
there’s gotta be like a hundred crazy things happening at once and I only
covered most of the things. Anyways let’s move on to…
My feelings on the finale
I.LOVED.IT. I really loved it, the directors ended the finale in a
mysterious tone with many questions left to be answered, since there will be……
a season 2 of Loki!!! Honestly, it deserves it since Loki has been a beloved
character since like the starting of the MCU universe and his story is too
great to be told in one season. The only part I felt was a bit too long was
Loki and Sylvie’s conversation with “He Who Remains”. And my favourite part was
THE KISS!! Oh! and there may be a multiversal war on the horizon since Sylvie
killed “He who remains” and may have set off his variants. Timeline seems to
have reset or something because no one remembers anything except Loki.
My
favourite thing about this show is how beautifully they have developed Loki’s
character arc. I think he has one of the best “Character who is not actually bad
but just deeply traumatized” stories. I’m really looking forward to Loki season
2 and it better come soon because I need some answers marvel!!!Thanks for
reading this and make sure to say what you think of this show down below.
