Hey guys how you doin'? So there was a recent ceremony in my house for the goddess of prosperity. My mom and grandma made a bunch of mouth watering sweets which looked so good and tasted like heaven. I love sweets because they are mostly made of ghee and are very sweet and your girl right here is a sweet tooth. Sweets are generally very famous in India and is consumed when people are feeling festive. Today we are going to see the top 10 traditional sweets that are absolutely Delish. And !! surprise twist these sweets are the most famous in their respective States .Hopefully you'll feel festive too reading this blog. We missed so much festivals in 2020 hopefully we can make up for them in 2021.


10. Arunachal Pradesh
Khapse
Made popularly during the Tibetan New Year, or Losar, Khapse is a variety of sweet biscuits made from flour, butter, eggs and sugar. Its deep fried and served in different shapes, sizes and twists.



9. Odisha 
Rasmalai
I swear that this is what my mother eats most of the time when we go to a sweets shop or a restaurant. Rasmalai is the combination of the two words, first Ras means “Juice” & then, Malai means “Cream”. The most famous dessert in the whole northern belt is Rasmalai. Also, this dish can be enjoyed in places like Haridwar, Kanpur, etc. It consists of sugar white cream with the balls of channa soaked in that cream.

Ghevar
The unique taste of Ghevar makes us greedy enough to grab some more of it. This sweet delight whose preparation takes a long time and is a bit complex comes in a variety of flavours including, Plain Ghevar, Malai Ghevar and Mawa Ghevar.


7. Kerala
Ada Pradhaman
The search for Kerala’s ultimate soul food begins and ends with Ada Pradhaman. It is a sweet treat of jaggery, coconut and rice ada. Rich n Luscious Kerala Style Ada Pradhaman Payasam is served during their festival of Onam.


6. Maharashtra
Modak
Another famous sweet from Maharashtra is Modak. Lord Ganesha’s favorite is Modak. Therefore,’ it enjoys’ has a special status in Marathi people. It is served to Lord Ganesha during his birthday celebration of ten days.

Tirunelveli Halwa
This special dish from Tirunelveli – a city in Tamil Nadu is completely lip-smacking. Made from pure ghee, this dessert has unmatched flavours with an aroma that will make you go completely weak on your knees.


4. Gujarat 
Soan Papdi
If we talk about food and the name of Gujarat is not mention in the list, it is impossible. Soan Papdi is the sweet that arise from Gujarat. This blistering sweet is for the people who take less sugar in their diet.


3. Haryana
Gond ke laddu
Gond ke laddu is a common preparation in the northern India, especially in Haryana. Prepared mostly during the winter season, it is a delicious sweet which is advised to be taken in limited quantities. 


2. Jharkhand
Malpua
Malpua is a traditional sweet of soft, fluffy and yet crisp pancakes coated with sugar syrup and served with rabri or thickened sweetened milk.

Mysore Pak
This is really good because it's full of ghee. Believe me when I say this literally melts in your mouth. Mysore Pak is that delicious sweet which shows its melting magic as soon as you put it in your mouth. Besan(Gram flour), sugar and ghee are the ingredients which yield this magic if put in proper consistency.
