Healthy alternatives for junk foods which are just as yummy


Hey guys, Good news there are only a few more days till 2020 is finally over!!! . I am so excited some of my favorite shows are coming out and my mom promised to let me eat ice cream for the first time since 6 months. I am so excited !!!. But also my new year’s resolution is going to be to eat healthier (as it has been for the last 4 years) but I always fail and I know there are many people like me who just cannot successfully follow a diet. So I figured what if we replace a cheat food with its healthy alternative. It might just fill your appetite and prevent you from slipping into junk foods. So today we are going to take 10 traditional cheat foods and list their healthy alternatives which can be just as yummy. Enjoy!!


10. Cake = Fruit cake
Cake is really tasty and can tempt you really hard. Eventhough cake is absolutely delish it is filled with calories and unwanted fat. So try fruit cake instead. You can make this at home using watermelons as the main part and other fruits like different berries, apples, bananas and you can even step up your game by adding carrots.


9. Chocolate = Dark chocolate
Milk chocolate and white chocolate are maybe the best things ever made but they are really bad for your health, so instead switch it out for dark chocolate. This treat can also be good for your heart. But all foods should be consumed in minimum so limit yourself to 2 pieces per day.


8. Chips = Kale chips
Chips are the best but they are literally fried and we all know that fried items are really not good for you. Kale is a distant cousin of broccoli and is known to have a larger amount of antioxidants than other veggies. So you can either make it at home by just placing them in the oven with some salt and pepper or just buy it at a store.


7. Cheese = Cashew cheese
I love cheese like I made a whole blog dedicated to it. But they are really not diet-friendly. On the other hand cashew cheese is healthy and yummy!!. They can be made using raw soaked cashews and nutritional yeast.


6. Burger buns = Portabello mushrooms
The burger buns are what makes burgers so tasty but they are also 
what makes them junk food. So just switch them out for Some good-old Portabello mushrooms. Its circular shape also makes it look like a real burger.

 

5. Ice cream = chocolate dipped frozen bananas
Ice cream is bae but it also is the recipe for disaster. Instead try chocolate dipped frozen bananas. Just peel some bananas and dip them in chocolate and store it in the freezer. That’s it it is as simple as that.
 

4. Sugar = Brown sugar
I know this isn’t a food but it is present in most junk foods. Brown sugar is a great alternative for white sugar and it also tastes better than white sugar so make sure to use it.
 

3. Cereal = Oatmeal
I have seen the shelves at the grocery stores, they are filled with sugary cereals so try oatmeal instead. Garnish it with cherries, blueberries or any other fruit you like. I'm sure they will be just as yummy as the others.


2. Milk = Almond milk
Most milk brands are made with unnecessary fats and chemicals so switch it out for almond milk. It is dairy-free, vegan and most importantly good for your health.


1. Pizza = Cauliflower crust
Sometimes you just cant stay away from this delish dish. But the good news is there are plenty of ways to make a pizza healthier. Not only is this cauliflower crust way more nutritional than the average pizza dough, It's also gluten free.
